Regarding the most important measures of the organization in preventing and combating the corona virus, Changiz Javadpour stated that revising the port and maritime operations processes in accordance with the existing health conditions and protocols also reforming all administrative supportive procedures for the active employees at the ports, were the major actions considered for the issue.
the coordinator for measures against the spread of Corona virus at the Ports and Maritime Organization added: facilitating the transit of goods in ports and accelerating the import of sanitary products and disinfectants in coordination with the relevant bodies and the implementation of all processes related to issuance and renewal of Port permits on electronic platforms and CCS and GCOMS systems were among the other measures for combating the spread of the virus.
Implementation of all processes related to the affairs of maritime agents and issuance and renewal of licenses in electronic platforms, including a comprehensive maritime system, preparation of hardware and software infrastructure for holding written and oral examinations of seafarers, implementing and monitoring the proper implementation of checklists and circulars issued by international authorities and informing about the preventive and countermeasures of the Ports and Maritime Organization to national and international authorities such as IMO and ILO, were other considered measures in regard with the pandemic
