In a meeting with the Director General of Ports and Maritime Affairs of Hormozgan, Denir Aman Goldiyev stated that Iran's relations with the Kyrgyz Republic have been friendly and cordial for a long time. Iran has a huge capacity in the field of transportation and transit of goods. Kyrgyzstan does not have direct access to the sea, but with the available transit capacity in Shahid Rajaee Port and cooperation with China, Turkmenistan and Central Asian countries, Kyrgyzstan could have access to sea through rail and road.
Referring to Kyrgyzstan's membership in the Customs Union and the Joint Economic Zone of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia, the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic said: This union is a good opportunity for the Iranian side to use it in the course of its trade. Negotiations with Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan for trade through Bandar Abbas port have begun and we hope that the talks will reach a fruitful result soon.
The First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic also proposed to establish a joint economic development fund to support joint projects of Kyrgyzstan and Iran.
